Tunis Stock Exchange: Tunindex Edges Lower

Market overview:

The stock market closed the session slightly lower. The benchmark index posted on Thursday, September 17, 2026 a decline of 0.05% to 19,044.90 points, in a trading volume of 6.0 million dinars (MD) and this, aided by a block transaction for an overall envelope of 5.7 MD.

Stock performance:

The SIAME share posted the best performance of the session. It rose 5.88% to 4.680 dinars (D), in a volume of 161 thousand dinars. While attracting 3 thousand dinars of capital during the session, the HL stock likewise advanced 3.00% to 10,300 D.

As with the previous day, the PLAST share was the red lantern of the TUNINDEX. Mobilizing a trading volume of 15 thousand dinars, the stock fell 5.71% to 1.320 D. The SITS value did not perform well on the market during the session, declining 4.43% to 4.100 D. The stock moved a reduced volume of 4 thousand dinars during the day.

BIAT was the most traded stock of the session. The share stabilized around 165,400 D, drawing on the market with capital of about 5.7 MD.

News:

NBL – At the end of the first six months of 2026, the company’s interim financial statements show a clear drop in net income by 71% to 0.169 MD versus 0.580 MD at end-June 2025.

It posted an operating result of 0.110 MD against 0.436 MD in the first half of 2025, i.e., a 70% decline. In addition, there was a marked decrease in investment income, from 0.351 to 0.105 MD, due to lower treasury bill revenues.

The revenue for the first half of 2026 fell by 41% compared with June 2025, to 2.6 MD.
