News

ASSAD – At the end of the first half of 2026, the company posted a loss of 18 MD against a profit of 0.228 MD at the end of June 2025. It ended the first half of this year with operating income down sharply, to 0.455 MD against 3.660 MD a year earlier.

The company reported revenue of 41.1 MD versus 50.7 MD in June 2025, a drop of 19%. The decline in revenues is mainly due to the downturn in export revenue, which the company attributes to a largely identifiable and transient factor. The first half indeed experienced a temporary delay in renewing the import license of the Algerian subsidiary BAA, the resolution of which is underway, combined with a challenging international context in export markets.
