Eighteen projects were launched and funded this Monday afternoon at the space of the regional delegation for the Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly in Bizerte, for beneficiaries of the National Program for Economic Empowerment of Families in Special Situations and for beneficiaries of the “Samida” program. The total cost of these projects is estimated at 180 thousand dinars, according to the governorate’s official page.
Presiding over the ceremony for the issuance of notices, equipment and resources necessary to launch the projects, the Governor of Bizerte, Salem Ben Yacoub, highlighted the solidarity, developmental, and social dimension of the Economic Empowerment Program for Families in Special Situations and the “Samida” program. He stressed the will to support and succeed in these two mechanisms, considered as model tools aimed at women in vulnerable situations, in order to enable them to launch their own projects, rely on themselves, and meet the needs of their families.
For his part, the regional delegate of the Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly, Mohamed Jamali, indicated that the notices issued primarily concern service activities and sectors with employment potential, notably trade, crafts, and other promotional activities, for beneficiaries from most of the governorate’s delegations.
The ceremony for the handing over of the notices, equipment, and launching means for the projects took place in the presence of the Secretary-General of the governorate, Abdellatif Hamid, the delegate of Bizerte South, Fayçal Ajmi, representatives of the regional delegation of the Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly, as well as the beneficiaries of the two programs.
