The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) held its meeting on October 7, 2026 to examine recent economic, monetary and financial developments, both internationally and domestically, as well as the dynamics of inflation and the risks surrounding its outlook.
The Board decided, at its meeting on October 7, 2026, to keep the Central Bank of Tunisia’s policy rate unchanged at 7.00%.

The Board decided, at its meeting on October 7, 2026, to keep the policy rate unchanged at 7.00%.
The Board considered that the risks surrounding the future inflation trajectory remain tilted to the upside.
The BCT indicated that its board will continue to closely monitor the evolution of prices, demand, banking liquidity and external balances and stands ready to take the measures it deems necessary in order to contain pressures on price formation, and to foster the durable return of inflation to sustainable levels.
