The Minister of Social Affairs, Issam Lahmar, completed his visit to Kairouan by presiding over the closing of the regional conference dedicated to Tunisian expatriates originating from the governorates of the third district. This meeting focused on investment prospects and regional development.
The conference aimed to present the investment opportunities offered in the governorates of the third district and to strengthen the contribution of Tunisians abroad to regional development.
The conference included two workshops. The first was devoted to the promising sectors in the participating governorates and to the investment opportunities available to Tunisians residing abroad.
The second workshop focused on ways to strengthen their local integration and to improve the orientation of remittances toward direct investment. Participants also discussed the main concerns and difficulties encountered by Tunisians abroad when undertaking projects in different sectors.
The meeting finally allowed addressing their questions, seeking appropriate solutions, and presenting investment opportunities likely to contribute to stimulating development in their regions of origin.
