Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, received on Tuesday a telephone call from Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The discussion focused on the fraternal and cooperative relations between the Tunisian Republic and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as on ways to strengthen them further, notably in the areas of trade, investment, transportation and human resources, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two officials also discussed the latest developments in the holy city of Al-Quds. They emphasized the need to confront violations and attempts to alter the legal and historical status of the holy city, while preserving its sacred sites.
During this exchange, Mohamed Ali Nafti reaffirmed Tunisia’s unwavering position in support of the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent and fully sovereign state, with Al-Quds as its capital.
The discussion also allowed the two ministers to exchange views and consult on several regional and international issues of common interest.
