NBA Economy: Wembanyama Drives Jersey Sales to Record Highs

The NBA has unveiled the ranking of the jerseys that sold the most during the regular season, based on figures from its official sales site (nbastore.com) and the site specializing in American sports merchandise, fanatics.com.

No surprise! The player who sells the most jerseys is Stephen Curry! At 38, the Golden State point guard remains ultra-popular worldwide. He surpasses the player who led the ranking last year, the Los Angeles Lakers star, Slovenian Luka Dončić (27), while the No. 3 is a little less well-known but plays for one of the most-followed franchises, the New York Knicks, Jalen Brunson.

In fourth place, we find the Frenchman Victor Wembanyama, who climbs two spots compared to 2025. LeBron James, with 23 seasons on the clock (a record), continues to drive jersey sales and completes the Top 5.

Next up are Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum (absent for a large part of the season due to injury), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (the reigning MVP), Cooper Flagg (the only rookie in the Top 15, and the only player already on vacation), Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, Tyrese Maxey, Devin Booker, Cade Cunningham and LaMelo Ball.

Team-wise, the most sold is New York’s, ahead of the Lakers’ and Boston’s (the two most-titled franchises), followed by Golden State, San Antonio, Philadelphia, Chicago (nostalgia still works), the reigning champion Oklahoma City (which appears in the Top 10 for the first time in seven years), Minnesota, and Denver.
