Written by: Adel Khelifi on June 1, 2026

The Commission on the Organization of the Administration, its Development, Digitization, Governance, and the Fight Against Corruption will hold a session on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, starting at 9:30 a.m.

This meeting will be devoted to continuing the examination of the proposed law relating to the organization of the conduct of marketing and promotional activities on electronic sites and social networks.

The bill, registered under number 42/2024, is part of legislative initiatives related to the regulation of digital activities and electronic advertising, in a context marked by the growing use of digital platforms to promote products and services.

A debate around the conclusions of a one-day study

The session will be devoted to examining the conclusions of the study day organized around this proposed law.

This step will allow members of the commission to revisit the various observations and recommendations made regarding the text, especially by those parties concerned with online promotion and marketing activities.

These conclusions should help enrich the parliamentary debate around the proposed legal framework to regulate this rapidly expanding sector.

A sector experiencing strong growth on digital platforms

The bill comes in a context of rapid development of electronic marketing through websites and social networks.

This evolution raises several issues, notably in terms of transparency, consumer protection, and the organization of relations between advertisers, content creators, influencers, and users.

The text thus aims to set clearer rules for the conduct of this activity, while guaranteeing greater legal certainty for the actors in the digital sector.

A framework adapted to digital transformations

The commission will continue examining the content of bill No. 42/2024 in light of previous discussions and the remarks presented during the study day.

This session is part of the commission’s work on legislative initiatives related to digitalization, governance, and the organization of the digital space.

The objective is to establish a legal framework capable of supporting digital transformations while ensuring a balance between the development of online economic activities, consumer protection, and the transparency of advertising practices.
