Tunis, Monday, July 4, 2022 — In a move that underscores its commitment to cultural development, Ooredoo has officially partnered with the prestigious Carthage International Festival, one of the Arab world’s most renowned festivals. The signing ceremony for this partnership was held in the presence of Mr. Mansoor Rashid Al Khater, CEO of Ooredoo; Mr. Youssef Lachkhem, General Director of the National Establishment for the Promotion of Festivals and Cultural and Artistic Events; and Mr. Kamel Ferjani, Festival Director.

This partnership aligns seamlessly with Ooredoo’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, embodied in its « Tounes T3ich » program. This initiative champions cultural diversity and actively promotes its growth across Tunisia.

“We are truly honored to be the official partner of this major festival. At Ooredoo, we take pride in this achievement, which perfectly fits our goals of supporting and enriching Tunisia’s cultural landscape. This partnership will only strengthen our resolve to provide optimal support for this prestigious international event, which attracts large audiences every year,” stated Mr. Mansoor Rashid Al Khater, CEO of Ooredoo.

“We are delighted to welcome Ooredoo as a partner for this year’s edition, which is particularly significant after two years of pandemic-related disruptions. We are confident that Ooredoo will bring valuable support and introduce innovative elements to the festival. We commend their commitment to culture, especially during such challenging times. The festival’s programming this year promises to be vibrant, thanks to the efforts of our partners who continuously inspire and motivate us to promote culture,” said Mr. Kamel Ferjani, Director of the Carthage International Festival.

In turn, Mr. Youssef Lachkhem, General Director of the National Establishment for the Promotion of Festivals and Artistic and Cultural Events, praised Ooredoo for its backing of this renowned festival: “We can only encourage initiatives like this, given their significant contribution to enriching the Tunisian cultural scene. This collaboration is mutually beneficial, and we thank Ooredoo for its efforts in this sector. We look forward to exploring future collaborations on other projects and festivals.”

Coinciding with Ooredoo’s 20th anniversary, this partnership is expected to bring several exciting innovations and surprises. Ooredoo will leverage this festival as another opportunity to share joy and innovation with its audience, celebrating the festive spirit in every event.

This marks a new chapter for Ooredoo Tunisia — taking on the challenge of supporting one of the most prominent and prestigious festivals in the region!
