Sidi Bouzid: Two Female Farm Workers Die in Mezzouna Accident

A road accident occurred on Friday, June 12, 2026, around 5:30 a.m., on Local Road No. 887, in the El Brij area, within the Mezzouna delegation, in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid, according to a Civil Protection source.

The accident involved a vehicle transporting agricultural workers, which overturned while traveling on this road. Rescue teams intervened to care for the victims and transfer them to the Mezzouna local hospital.

The regional health director for Sidi Bouzid, Salem Nasri, indicated that the vehicle carried 15 female agricultural workers.

The toll from the accident stands at two fatalities and three female workers in critical condition. One of them sustained a severe hand injury requiring amputation.
