According to the latest figures, the prices of tourist accommodations continue to rise during the peak summer vacation period. According to a study by the Cozycozy platform, the average price of a night in France increases by 4.2% year over year, with wide disparities depending on the destination.

The south of France shows the largest increases as summer settles in. Marseille records the strongest rise among the cities studied by Cozycozy, whose results were relayed by BFM Business. The average price of a night there reaches 188 euros, up 27% in one year. Montpellier (+19%) and Argelès-sur-Mer (+9.6%) also figure among the destinations where prices are rising the most. Porto-Vecchio remains, however, the most expensive city in France, with an average price of 222 euros per night. It surpasses Biarritz (212 euros) and Arcachon (207 euros).

Temperatures and prices are milder in Normandy and Vendée
Conversely, several destinations record a drop in prices. This is the case for Normandy (-9.2%), Île de Ré (-9.8%) or Vendée (-3.6%), even as these regions attract more holidaymakers seeking gentler temperatures. A chance to rest in the cool, without burning a hole in your wallet.

Abroad, the trend is also upward. Prices rise notably in Ibiza, Tenerife, Crete, Split, or the Algarve, while Lisbon and the Costa Brava stand out as exceptions with slight declines.
