Meanwhile, explosions were heard in several areas of Tehran, as Iran launched a new salvo of missiles toward Israel, triggering alerts in Jerusalem and in the center of the country.
Diplomatically, signals remain confusing. American and Gulf officials speak of uncertainty about the actual capacity of Iranian interlocutors to validate a potential peace agreement, while distrust persists in Tehran following the failure of previous diplomatic attempts. Washington nevertheless confirms it continues to maintain indirect exchanges with Iran through mediators, against the backdrop of controversial statements by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the internal Iranian situation.
