As of 20 April this year, tourism receipts stood at 1,827.5 million dinars, up from 1,750.2 million dinars on 20 April 2025, a rise of 77.3 million dinars over one year, according to data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).

For reference, within the framework of monitoring tourism activity in light of geopolitical evolutions, a working session was held, at the end of March 2026, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Tourism.

This meeting was devoted to assessing the sector’s level of preparedness to accompany the ongoing changes and to adapt quickly to new data, notably in terms of logistical preparations and the pace of bookings.

During this session, emphasis was placed on several priorities. These include notably strengthening monitoring and coordination with tour operators and foreign partner travel agencies in the fields of marketing and promotion, in order to take the necessary real-time measures and to respond quickly and effectively to evolutions, thereby consolidating the position of the Tunisian destination.

The emphasis was also placed on continuing the development of the tourism value chains, from the management of bookings to the improvement of service quality.

It also concerns the diversification and intensification of integrated and varied tourism offers and packages, encompassing the different types and products of tourism, in order to meet the evolution of global demand.
