The Ministry of Transport, in partnership with the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies, plans to implement a project aimed at establishing an integrated system to assist with operations and provide passenger information within national and regional transport companies. The project will be funded by the Fund for the Development of Communications and Information and Communication Technologies.
According to a press release published Tuesday evening by the Ministry of Transport, this system will allow travelers to access, in real time, updated timetables and predicted arrival times of transport means at stations. It will also offer them assistance in choosing the most suitable routes.
These services will be accessible through screens to be installed in the main stations, a mobile application intended for smartphones, as well as an electronic portal dedicated to passenger information on the transport lines.
The project also provides for the provision of operational assistance services for the benefit of national and regional transport companies that will benefit from this system.
In this framework, the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology announced on Tuesday the launch of a call for bids for the realization of this project.
