A ceremony took place on Friday, September 18, 2026, under the supervision of the Minister of Family, Women, Childhood and the Elderly, on the occasion of the signing of a framework partnership agreement between the ministry and the Tunisian Radio Establishment, represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Hinda Ben Alia Ghribi.
According to a communiqué published by the ministry, this agreement aims to promote, through national and regional radios, the culture of rights and awareness of issues related to the family and its members. It also provides for making known the strategies, programs and national services implemented by the ministry and for facilitating citizens’ access to them, while highlighting the economic, social and development initiatives destined for families and women in the different regions.
The areas of cooperation also include improving the media treatment of issues related to the family, as well as the prevention of all phenomena and risk behaviors likely to harm the best interests of the child and the family.
The agreement also provides for the development and production of media, educational and awareness-raising content, as well as their dissemination across the different national and regional radio networks and the digital platforms. It also covers the production of awareness and information spots and the creation of program spaces and interactive debates dedicated to family issues, to the economic and social integration of women, to the protection of children and to the care of the elderly.
The agreement also provides to strengthen cooperation in order to produce radio awareness programs addressing social and family issues in innovative forms. It also provides for the organization of joint workshops aimed at strengthening the skills of journalists and program producers in the media treatment of issues related to the family, to women, to childhood and to the elderly.
On this occasion, the importance of cooperation in the field of media education was also highlighted. A joint program will be developed and implemented jointly by the National Center for Child-Oriented Computing and the Tunisian Radio Establishment, for the benefit of children attending the national and regional centers for child-oriented computing.
These institutions are in the process of generalizing spaces devoted to media education and strengthening children’s capacities in the fields related to audiovisual production and radio programming.
