TGM Tunis–La Goulette–La Marsa: Resumption of Uninterrupted Service and Ramadan Schedule

The Tunis Transport Company (Transtu) announced the resumption of continuous operation across the entire Tunis – La Goulette – La Marsa rail line (TGM) starting from Friday, February 20, 2026, after ensuring the availability of all operating conditions, notably in terms of safety.

In the meantime, the operation of bus line No. 347, connecting the “Tunis Marine” station to the suburb of La Marsa via La Goulette, continues normally.

Schedules for the TGM during Ramadan

For the month of Ramadan, Transtu indicates that the TGM services will be programmed at a rate of one departure every 45 minutes, starting at 03:30 in the morning, according to the following arrangement:

At the departure from the “Tunis Marine” station

Last departure before Iftar: 17:15
First departure after Iftar: 19:15
Last night departure: 22:30

At the departure from the “La Marsa Plage” station

Last departure before Iftar: 17:00
First departure after Iftar: 19:15
Last night departure: 23:00

A rehabilitation project to strengthen safety

Transtu recalls that the rehabilitation project for the technical structures of the TGM line is part of the third phase of the overall line redevelopment program and renewal of its components, following the completion of the renewal of the infrastructure, notably including the rail tracks, passenger stations and electrical substations.

The company specifies that works are currently ongoing to finalize reinforcement and renovation operations on the technical structures, within the framework of the infrastructure modernization project, with the aim of improving safety standards and ensuring continuous operation.
