TN Live – Iran–Israel War: Day 10 Summary

Written by: Adel Khelifi on March 10, 2026

American President Donald Trump said that the war against Iran was now “largely over,” according to remarks reported by CBS. The American president claimed that the conflict could end soon, noting that Iran would no longer have, in his view, an operational naval fleet, nor effective communications capabilities, nor a real air force.

In the same context, Trump said he was considering a figure who could replace the Iranian Supreme Leader, Khamenei, without giving further details. He also insisted that the operations were advancing much more quickly than planned, stating that the initial schedule, estimated at four to five weeks, had been far exceeded.

Trump furthermore stated that he had “no message” to address to Mojtaba Khamenei. Mentioning the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic point for global maritime trade, he said ships were currently crossing it and that he was considering taking control of it.

In a particularly firm tone, he also said that the Iranians had “shot at all targets,” warning Tehran against any new provocation. According to him, any further escalation could have dramatic consequences for the country.
