Tunis Stock Exchange: Tunindex Continues to Fall

Market snapshot

Following yesterday’s performance, the stock market closed the session on a negative note. The benchmark index posted, on Thursday, May 21, 2026, a decline of 1.87% to 16,962.81 points.

In the absence of block trades, the day was marked by a relatively brisk pace of trading, totaling 13.0 million dinars (MD).

Stock performance

The SCB stock topped the market’s leaderboard. The share rose 4.48% to 0.700 D, with a volume of only 1 thousand dinars. As on the previous day, the ASTREE stock stood out among the session’s best performers. The share advanced 4.40% to 86.350 D, while attracting low turnover of 3 thousand dinars.

The STB stock was among the session’s decliners. It fell 5.91% to 6.210 D, while drawing a trading volume of 366 thousand dinars for the session. BIAT’s share followed a bearish trajectory on the session. The stock declined 4.52% to 147.990 D. The value accumulated a turnover of 1.1 MD for the session.

The SOTUV stock particularly energized the session. The share stabilized at 29.000 D, while contributing 2.0 MD in capital to the market.

SAM – The company announced that its board of directors, meeting on Tuesday May 19, 2026, reviewed the company’s activity during the 2025 year and approved the individual and consolidated financial statements for 2025, which show an individual net result of 2,556,051 D, compared with a net result of 2,671,212 D at the close of 2024, i.e. a decrease of 4.3%.

The Group’s consolidated net income is estimated at end-2025 to be 2,718,117 D, versus 2,816,465 D at the close of 2024, representing a decrease of 3.5%.

The board of directors has decided to convene the ordinary general meeting for Thursday, June 25, 2026, and to propose the distribution of a dividend of 0.315 D per share, i.e., 31.5% of the nominal value.
