Transport, Industry and Equipment: Three Companies Recognized for Their Road Transport Commitment

The Tunisian Road Safety Association announced the winning companies of the Prize for the institution most committed to road safety. They are:

  • the Regional Transport Company of Bizerte, in the transport sector;
  • the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company, in the industrial sector;
  • Tunisie Autoroutes, in the equipment sector.

Noting that the Prize for Corporate Social Responsibility in the field of road safety was also awarded to Société du Lac d’Investissement, in recognition of its efforts to support initiatives aimed at strengthening road safety and promoting a culture of prevention and accountability within the company.

The association welcomed the efforts deployed by these institutions to embed a genuine culture of road safety and to adopt best practices aimed at protecting employees as well as all road users. This commitment reflects their corporate social responsibility and makes them role models in terms of safety and prevention of road traffic accidents.

The association also recalled that the prizes were awarded at an official ceremony chaired by Afef Chachi Tayari, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines, in the presence of Lina Ezzat Chabib, President of the Arab Union for Road Safety. The ceremony took place on Friday, July 31, 2026 at the World Health Organization headquarters, Tunis office.

The event was also marked by the signing of several partnership and cooperation agreements between the Tunisian Road Safety Association and several national and regional institutions and companies.

These agreements aim to strengthen training programs, disseminate the culture of road safety in the professional environment and contribute to anchoring prevention principles, reducing road traffic accidents as well as strengthening the corporate social responsibility of companies.

Mourad Hamrouni, president of the committee for the Prize for the Institution Most Engaged in Road Safety, stated that the committee had worked with complete neutrality, transparency and independence, in accordance with clearly defined scientific and technical criteria.

According to him, this approach guarantees equal opportunities among all participating institutions, strengthens the credibility of this national initiative and encourages positive competition in the field of road safety.
