The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy announced that the Minister of Equipment and Housing, responsible for managing the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, Slah Zouari, received, on Monday, August 24, at the ministry’s headquarters, Mohamed Larbi Rouis, Chief Executive Officer of Leoni, the German group specialized in the manufacture of electrical cables for the automotive industry. The meeting took place in the presence of several senior ministry officials.
Slah Zouari praised the important role played by the company in supporting the national economy and in job creation. He also stressed the willingness of the ministry’s services to bring together the best conditions to attract investments, particularly in the automotive components industry sector.
For his part, the CEO of Leoni Tunisia presented the group’s activities as well as its future programs, highlighting the importance of continuing expansion projects in several regions during the coming period.
The Leoni group is among the leading investors in the automotive components sector in Tunisia. Established in the country since 1977, it contributes to ensuring around 30,000 jobs across its various production units installed in the governorates of Bizerte, Sousse and Monastir.
The group’s activities in Tunisia are integrated into global production chains in the automotive components sectors as well as in the electrical and electronics industries.
