A patrol from a National Guard post in Tebourba, in the Manouba Governorate, carried out Saturday evening the arrest of a man originally from the region, sought by several security units and judicial authorities and the subject of 27 wanted notices, according to a security source cited by the TAP news agency.
A 35-year-old man, the individual was the subject of judicial decisions ranging from two months to four years’ imprisonment, in cases related notably to threats of violence, fraud, and abandonment of family, according to the same source.
After consultation with the public prosecutor, authorities were authorized to take the necessary measures against him and to hand him over to the agencies that were seeking him.
This arrest is part of regular operations conducted by security forces to combat the various forms of crime and offenses against public order. In total, five people subject to wanted notices were arrested, including the man targeted by the 27 notices.
