The coach of Club Africain, Maher Kanzari, expressed his satisfaction after his team’s victory over TP Mazembe, synonymous with qualification for the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
“I think that this qualification for the group stage and Club Africain’s return to this level of competition are well deserved, considering the performances delivered by the team in the away and home matches, as well as in the first preliminary round against Joli’ba AC of Mali,” Maher Kanzari told the press.
The Tunisian coach also highlighted the importance of this qualification for the club’s objectives this season. “We are happy to have achieved one of the club’s objectives this season, namely qualification for the CAF Champions League group stage. We will look to raise our ambitions as the competition progresses in order to go as far as possible,” he added.
Finally, Maher Kanzari stated that this qualification will allow Club Africain to continue its work in good conditions and approach the resumption of the Tunisian Professional Ligue 1 with strengthened morale and higher ambitions.
“This qualification offers the club greater serenity to continue the work and restart the championship with high morale and higher expectations. The championship remains our absolute priority. We will refocus on the Champions League when the group stage resumes,” he concluded.
