The preparation of the senior national handball team for the World Championship, which will take place in Germany from 13 to 31 January 2027, begins this Monday in the city of Hammamet.
The preparation program of our national team for this major event includes the following steps:
- Participation in the second edition of the Hachemi Rezgui International Tournament, alongside the selections of Russia and Japan. Tunisia will face Japan on Thursday, November 7, 2026, at 18:00, in the Hammamet hall, before clashing with the first-selection of Russia on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 16:00, in the same venue.
The junior national team (players born in 2006 and 2007) will also take advantage of this tournament to play an international friendly against the first-selection of Russia, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 16:00, in the Hammamet hall.
- Two matches against the Qatar national team, which is also preparing for the World Cup, scheduled in Tunisia on December 27 and 29, 2026.
- Participation in the France International Tournament, from January 7 to 11, 2027, at the Lyon Arena, with the presence of the teams of France, Hungary and Greece.
Moreover, the official delegation of the Tunisian national team will directly join the German city of Munich from Lyon on January 11. The Eagles of Carthage will then begin their World Championship journey on January 13, against Germany, the host nation of the competition.
