Owner of PSG since 2012 and already managing sporting operations since December 2025, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) has just acquired a second club. We are talking about KAS Eupen, a member of the Belgian second division.
This Thursday, the Qataris formalized the full purchase of the club, via a press release: “Qatar Sports Investments is pleased to announce that the acquisition of KAS Eupen has been finalized. QSI is now the sole owner of the club, after having taken charge of the sporting management of KAS Eupen since December 2025.”
QSI and the Belgian club “have worked in close collaboration in order to establish solid foundations for the long-term sporting and economic development of the club,” the press release continues. “This involved strengthening the sporting structure and the first-team squad, continuing the promotion of young talents as well as the implementation of new commercial partnerships,” adds QSI.
“It will continue to rely on its unique identity”
“If KAS Eupen benefits from QSI’s international expertise and network, it will continue to rely on its unique identity as the only professional football club in the German-speaking Community of Belgium, while remaining closely tied to its supporters, to its partners and to regional stakeholders,” promises QSI.
In addition to PSG, QSI holds a minority stake in Braga in Portugal.
It should be noted that Eupen is under the sporting direction of Pasquale Sensibile (appointed by QSI). Its head coach is Felice Mazzu.
The Belgian club was already under Qatari control. Since 2012, it was Aspire Academy, which used KAS Eupen as a stepping stone for its young talents. After eight years in the top flight, the club had been relegated in 2024.
It is currently placed fourth in the Belgian second division. Their record stands at three wins and one defeat in four league matches.
