10 Tunisian companies sign spin-off agreements

TUNISIAONLINENEWS- As part of the Presidential Program that aims at improving the an economic growth namely in the investment and employability sector, 10 spin-off agreements were signed on Monday in Tunis between the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Small and Medium Enterprises and 10 public and private companies.

Chairing the meeting, Mr. Afif Chelbi, Minister of Industry, Energy and Small and Medium Enterprises, said that the spin-off projects currently underway will reach 400 projects by the end of 2009 adding that Tunisia hopes to create 200 projects each year in 2014 against 100 projects in 2009.

According to Law 56 of 18 July 2005 relative to the spin-off of economic companies, the spin-off program aims at assisting promoters in setting up their companies especially since Tunisia has set itself the target to carry out 70,000 projects by 2009.
