Exhibition celebrates 100 years of Tunisian theatre

TUNISIAONLINENEWS- Celebrating the centenary anniversary of Tunisia’s theatre, Khaireddine Palace in the Tunis Medina hosted on Friday an exhibition fair under the theme “loyalty to pioneers and faith in innovators”.

Mr. Abderraouf El Basti, Minister of culture and heritage preservation, Mr. Mohamed Madiyouni, president of the national commission of the centenary anniversary of Tunisia’s theatre, Mr. Mohamed Driss Director of the Carthage Theatre Days as well as a number of Tunisian artists namely, Mouna Nourredine, Moncef Souissi, Hlima Daoud and Jamel Sassi attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition focused on several works of the pioneering figures of Tunisian theatre.

Visitors were able to enjoy several features of the first steps of Tunisian theater thanks to video and audio tapes and a display of costumes worn by many founding figures such as Hamda Ben Tijani and Ali Ben Ayed.
