FMTC Chairman Pr. Nikolay Storozhenko presented Tunisia’s ambassador in Japan with this prize during an official ceremony held in Hakone, Japan, the venue of the Federation’s annual congress and its 62nd general assembly.

Pr. Storozhenko pointed out that this prize was awarded after a unanimous decision by the board of directors of FMTC general assembly.
FMTC Secretary-General Umberto Solimence hailed the President of the Republic’s prospective vision which had helped Tunisia become a privileged spa destination and a leading country in balneotherapy and thalassotherapy sectors.
This new international distinction is one more acknowledgement of President Ben Ali’s just and pertinent comprehensive development policy, his firm political will to develop the thermal tourism sector and his constant support to investors in this sector.
It also is a crowning stage of efforts exerted since the Change to develop thermalism which is a support sector to developing health, regions and natural medicine tourism.
