Tozeur hosts fifth “oasis marathon”

TUNISIAONLINENEWS- Tozeur, the magnificent oasis city and the largest tourist attraction pole in south-western Tunisia is hosting from November 15 to 22, 2009 the fifth edition of Tunisia’s pedestrian rally, also known as the “oasis marathon”.

The race, which aims at promoting sports tourism, gastronomy tourism and Saharan tourism, will cross 4 governorates namely Tozeur, Djerba, Douz and Tataouine as it will also take the runners through some villages including Onk Djemel, Chott El Jerid, Jebil, Ksar Ghilane, Douiret, Guellala and  El Hammam.

The runners who registered in Marseille, Nice, Toulouse, Strasbourg and Lyon  will cross the marathon’s finish line on November 22 in Djerba.
