Transport: caravan of support to President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali
Constitutional Democratic Rally (RCD) Politburo Member and Co-ordinator of the National Electoral Campaign Committee Abdelaziz Ben Dhia, on Sunday, signalled the start of a caravan of support ato President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali’s candidacy for the presidential elections; the caravan consisted of over one thousand commercial vehicles.
Participants waved flags and portraits of the Head of State and banderoles expressing loyalty and consideration to President Ben Ali for the interest he lends to transport professionals.
Member of the RCD list in the Tunis II constituency Mohamed Sakhr El Materi stressed, in this regard, the forward-looking vision of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali which helped Tunisia face up to the fallout of the global financial and economic crisis.
He underlined that the policy guidelines of the presidential electoral programme ” Together We Meet Challenges” will certainly further strengthen the foundations of the national economy and the attributes of social progress.
Mr. Materi added that this programme, which strengthens the comprehensive and forward-looking aspects of the development approach adopted by the Head of State, aims to deepen national reforms in all areas to improve the quality of life of different segments and regions.
The ceremony was attended by Transport Minister Abderrahim Zouari and members of the RCD list in the constituency of Tunis 2.
