Tunisia promotes use of ICT in public transport

TUNISIAONLINENEWS- The transport sector can form a duality with information technology and communication (ITC) to give the Intelligent Transport System (ITS), a global initiative aiming at enhancing different means of transport.

Tunisia is among the first countries in Africa and in the Arab world to have committed themselves to set up a system of intelligent transportation to better manage its fleet of buses and lorries.

certThe country’s transportation company (SNTRI), signed today an agreement setting up an intelligent transportation system , with the Center for Research in Telecommunications (CERT).
Under the agreement, CERT is committed, to monitor the movement of SNTRI bus park via satellite and developing computer systems and communications for the benefit of SNTRI.
