President Ben Ali appoints new ministers in partial cabinet reshuffle

Tunis, August 29, 2008–President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali has decided a partial cabinet reshuffle today. The news was announced by Prime Minister, Mr Mohamed Ghannouchi, after a meeting with the Head of State on Friday.

The following new ministers were appointed following the reshuffle:
- Mr Hatem Ben Salem, Minister of Education and Training
- Mr Abderraouf  El Basti, Minister of Culture and Heritage Preservation
- Mr Slim Tletli, Minister of Employment and Professional Insertion of Youth
- Mr Samir Labidi, Minister of Youth, Sports and Physical Education
- Mr Abdessalem Mansour, Minister of agriculture and Water Resources
- Mr Slaheddine Malouche, Minister of Equipment, Housing and Land Management
- Mr Chokri Mamoghli, Secretary of State to the Minister of Trade and Handicrafts in charge of  External Trade
- Mr Bechir Elouzir, Secretary of State to the Minister of Youth, Sports and Physical Education, in charge of Sports.

Ministers leaving the government will be called on to other duties.
